The challenge

Three layers, soft decking and a stubborn leak.

The homeowners had been patching a chimney leak for years. Our inspection found three layers of shingles, failed flashing and 14 sheets of rotten decking.

The solution

Full tear-off and a new roof system.

We stripped to the rafters, replaced the decking, installed ice and water shield, rebuilt the chimney cricket and finished with slate-look shingles and copper flashing.
